Reflection for 02/08/10

Today we did a survey and continued our poster. We made quite a progress for our project and managed to decide how our poster is going to look like after getting some advice from Mr Ho last lesson.

reflection for 27 july

We are starting on our poster on water sports after learning how to use photoshop. Sebastian is currently making the poster right now. We have decided to do a poster on watersports. We had many experiences with photoshop and we have put them to good use. We have learned about teamwork and we will continue to strengthen our team spirit.

This the third week of the term 3. we were taught more stuff about abdobe photoshop such as the burn tool and more things tat nearly made us insane as it was very cool and did not know about it. even though some of us did not know how to use it, we helped each other like what our group's motto is, helping each other to the end, and we were able to complete it quickly .

Reflection for 13 July

This is our first blog reflection after the holidays, which is term 3. Basically, today we had an introduction about abdobe photoshop. We learned how to use the magic wand tool to edit pictures so as to combine them all together as if they are in the same picture. We also helped people who needed help.

Reflection for 18 May

The exams and semester 1 is over and this is our last PW lesson .We have scored 4/10 for the microsoft word because of the lack of a header and footer , a table and a page number.We will learn from this mistake and do better next semester.We got a 5/10 for the microsoft powerpoint because we lack videos/musics , animation, header and footer including the page number. We missed out on these points as we totally did not remember about them. But still, each of our overall marks are high and we are very SATISFIED with it.

My Own Personal Reflections about the lessons i missed.

I missed quiet a few lessons and I missed out on a lot of stuff. Though I was not there, my groupmates still managed to keep track on the reflections and lessons. When I saw them the next day, they would update me on what they had done. They worked as a team and managed to do all the reflections. Thus, i did the reflections for the recent weeks so as to make up to them.

Reflection on 13th april

Today during Ipw lesson in class, we, as a group, have decided to choose Mr Tan, our school's head PE teacher, as our resource teacher after much discussion and planning together even when our group leader was not around with us due to certain personal reason. We will ask Mr Tan some questions about water sports such as what precautions must we take when we do the water sports and what kind of equipment do we need when we do them.

Reflection for 6 April 2010

The handbook we each recieved last week really aided us in helping to prepare in the project.As there was not much time to use the book last week we found out a lot about the book and found out how useful it really was there were sections which made us troubleshoot,brainstorm for ideas, and narrow down the possibility of each idea whether is was possible or not.Even though our leader, Abel, was not here , we managed to get a lot of work done.We thought up lots of ideas and the problems we might face doing them and was very productive.In the end, we managed to complete a lot of stuff and felt very accomplished.

Reflection for 30th March

We received our handbook on 30th Mark and managed to complete some of the pages. Even though our leader was not around, we managed to work together as a group even though we had some difficulties.

Reflection for 27th April

Today, we learned about the CA components for our PW(Project Work). We touched up on our reflections for the past few weeks and did some reflections. We managed to do all the reflections as we had teamwork in the team. Though I missed quite a few lessons, my groupmates edited the blog and kept track of the lessons. This symbolizes teamwork. We should help one another when one of them did not come. We should inform each other of what is going on during the lessons. I feel that we finally managed to work as a team and accomplish all tasks given to us. We managed to finish up our reflections. This was definitely a productive lesson.

Reflection for 20th April

We watched a series of videos concerning keylogging, hacking and cyberbullying. Even though it is kind of cool seeing how people can hack into other accounts, we should spare a thought for the people whose accounts are being hacked. Cyberbullying is definitely not cool. We are hurting other people's feelings / emotions, we may drive them to a corner, they may even commit sucide. It was kind of fun watching the videos, I discovered many things in the process. After that, we did a short quiz/survey on cyberwellness. The quiz/survey was to test our knowledge on cyberwellness and what we should and should not do. The lesson was definitely a productive one.

Reflection for 9/03/10

Most groups did not complete their powerpoint and the deadline is being extended again. We have the weekend to edit our powerpoint and submit it agian. Though we have completed it , we did not do it up till expectations and have to edit it. We will best try to edit it till satisfaction.

Reflection on today`s lesson ( 2/3/10)

We have finished our work even though we were not free.But the problems is that Sebastian could not enter his email to upload the Water Sport Document. As hotmail had problems , Abel could not login and retrieve the powerpoint , thus not able to upload to the workbin. We also think that we have to re-do our reflections on our blog because it is not well done.

Reflection(23 feburary)

We managed to maintain the strong sense of belonging to Ctrl-Alt-Delete . We felt that we should touch up on the backgrounds of our powerpoint slides. We needed to have a good sense of understanding towards each of our group members to work well with one another. We also managed to get each of our ideas , and research and managed to combine it all to one.Overall, we are starting to work better together after knowing each other longer

The do`s and dont`s of good powerpoints

We learnt the do`s and dont`s of good powerpoints this lesson. We felt that we should not use too much bullet points as it defeats the purpose. We had a chance to work together to do a good powerpoint. We will take note of what makes a good and a bad powerpoint. When we were doing the powerpoint , we felt a strong sense of belonging to our group Ctrl-Alt-Delete. We will work better together in future so as to maintain the strong sense of bond within our group members.

Copyright and internet etiquette

This week,we learned about proper internet ettiquette and more about copyright.We aslo learned about Plagiarism. We felt that it is not good to plagiarise as bad things might happen to the person who did that and the work was done with a lot of effot from the author hence we should not just copy and paste too much work and acknowledge the author.

Personality profile

We recently did a quiz on our personalities to see which role we would suit the best.
The quiz classified us according to our personalities into four different types of birds, namely an eagle, a peacock, an owl and a dove.
Abel got a peacock. Abe is talkative, approachable and friendly,just like the peacock. Sebestian got an owl and he is very obedient like the owl. Kian Wee got a dove as he is peace-loving. Favian got an eagle as he is happy like an eagle.

Group forming

Hi, we are group Ctrl-Alt-Delete. Our group consists of four people, namely Abel(group Leader), Sebastian(Questioner), Favian(Encourager), Kian Wee(Recorder).
Our group is called Ctrl-Alt-Delete because without the three buttons, we will not be able to access the computers in school.
Our motto is to be like the three buttons, we want to be needed. The meaning of our motto is that we want to be useful.

Learning journey/ Reflection(19 Jan 2010)

We learned how to keep our passwords safe by using passwords which are not that obvious like qwerty .We also learnt how to create a blog(which includes linking an email address to a blog). We should not use easy passwords which allows other people to hack into our account. We felt that passwords are very important to us, it allows us to keep our accounts save from hackers.
